Common Requirements for All Visa Types
These documents are required for all visa types at Mumbai consulate:
Personal Documents
Valid passport
With at least 6 months validity from the date of travel.
Visa Form
1 Form.
Passport Size Photo
1 Photograph (Fresh ones i.e. NOT used earlier for any visa).
Signed Cover letter
Covering letter explaining the reason of travel with name and designation of the signatory.
Sponsorship letter
From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly to the consulate. (Compulsory).
Travel Documents
Confirmed Air Tickets
The PNR should be live. It should include all the sectors.
Proof of funds
Forex or International Credit card.

Invitation fax
In Persian language only, one at the consulate directly and 1 to be hand carried. Form No.2 from Iran Govt. Consulate.

-: Urgent Visa Fee = Rs. 12225/- Normal Visa Fee = Rs. 9400/- + Travel Insurance Rs. 1200 + Approved Vendor Charge Rs. 1400

-: Normal 15 working days Urgent 2 working days NOTE: Please note that above is only an indicative processing time which is based on the current trend.
