Common Requirements for All Visa Types

These documents are required for all visa types at Mumbai consulate:

Personal Documents

  • Valid Passport

    With at least a 6 month validity from the date of travel. Old passport also required.

  • Visa Form

    Visa Form to fill online at website address (sign has to be in blue ink only) https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/pacomPasesWebInicial.jsf

  • Passport Size Photo

    2 photos 35mm x 45mm, 80% face appearance, white background, glossy finish.

Travel Documents

  • Confirmed Hotel Bookings

    With a gap of 12 working days from the date of submission.

  • Confirmed Air Tickets

    Ticket itinerary with at least 12 working days gap from the submission.

Proof of Funds

  • Bank Statement

    Original Bank statement of last 6 months stamped from Bank (Personal).

  • Income Tax Returns

    Last 3 years ITR (Personal).

Occupation Proof

  • If You Are an Employee

    Last 3 months salary slips. NOC from Company.

  • If You Are Proprietor/Owner of the Company

    Original Bank statement of last 6 months stamped from Bank (Company). ITR of Last 3 years (Company). Company proof (GST/Incorporation certificate/Partnership Deed, etc.). Cover letter on company’s Letterhead.

Business Visa

Business Documents

  • Invitation Letter from a Brazilian Company

    Notarized Original Invitation Letter has to be in English and Portuguese languages with CNPJ No. mentioned in it (mandatory to submit in both the languages), mentioning that the applicant is very much aware of the business clause, norms, and regulations, and will neither engage in any kind of technical work nor share or receive any sort of technical knowledge.

  • Company Cover Letter

    Original covering letter from the Company on Business letterhead addressed to Consulate General of Brazil, Mumbai.

  • Personal Declaration Letter from the Applicant

    Addressed to Consulate General of Brazil, Mumbai mentioning that the applicant is very much aware of the business clauses, norms, and regulations, and will neither engage in any kind of technical work nor share or receive any sort of technical knowledge (Please see Declaration form attached).

  • For Child Traveling with One of the Parents an affidavit of Authorization attested and Notarized by Mantralaya is required, which is attached (Minor Authorization form).

Note

  • NOTE - Business visa can only be applied within 3 months from the travel date.

    Pax can be called personally for interview, if required by the Consular.

  • Apart from the above mentioned category visa, please apply for the other category visa from the Embassy in New Delhi.

    Engineers and Software Consultants may be refused Business Visa and asked to apply for Type 5 Visa.

  • With Effect From 12-Jan-2015, the Embassy of Brazil has made it mandatory to upload all above mentioned documents while filling up the online form, else the embassy will not accept any visa application.

    Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka issued passports are to be applied in Mumbai only.

Fees

Visa Fees - Rs.8000/- Currently, the only method of payment accepted by the Consulate is a non-refundable identified bank transfer or deposit to: Beneficiary Bank Name Branch: RBL Bank - Fort Branch. Branch address: RBL Bank Limited, Office No 1/A, Ground Floor, Mittal Court, Nariman Point, Mumbai - 400021 Beneficiary Bank IFSC Code: RATN0000155 Beneficiary Name: Consulate General of Brazil Beneficiary Account Number: 409001406277 Beneficiary Address: Unit 12B, 12th Floor, Bakhtawar Building, RN Goenka Marg - Nariman Point, Mumbai - 400021 The applicant`s NAME must show up in the Consulate`s bank account. The bank transfer should be made directly from the applicant`s own personal bank account, not from the agent`s account or another third party`s account. Any transfer or deposit method that does not indicate the applicant`s NAME in the Consulate`s bank account is not suitable for the payment of consular fees. If any credit is made without the identification of the applicant by NAME, the service will not be performed and the amount will not be refunded. It is the applicant`s sole responsibility to ensure that the transfer/payment contains his/her name. Kindly note that it is not enough that the applicant`s name appears on the transaction receipt for a payment to be accepted. The applicant`s name must appear in the Consulate`s bank statement. Applicant to provide proof of visa fees payment for submission of file (Bank statement showing applicant`s Bio Account details with duly highlighted transaction of payment to embassy mentioning embassy name, date, transaction amount).

Tourist Visa

Note

  • Apart from the above mentioned category visa, please apply for the other category visa from the Embassy in New Delhi.

  • For child traveling with one of the parents will have to give an affidavit of Authorization attested and Notarized by Mantralaya which is attached (Minor Authorization form)

Work Visa

Work Documents

  • Invitation from the Brazilian Counterpart / Invitee

    Invitation from the Brazilian Counterpart / Invitee along with Work Authorization.

  • Police Clearance Certificate

    Issued by the Police Department in the area where the applicant has resided for the last 12 months.

  • CNPJ Certificate

    CNPJ Certificate from Brazil.

Note

  • Pax can be called personally for an interview, if required by the Consular.
