Japan Visa Requirements at Mumbai Consulate

Valid passport

A valid Passport (with more than two blank pages). Please submit your old passports also, if any.

Passport Copy

Photocopy of the Bio Data Page of the Current Passport (First and Last Page).

Visa Form

A completely filled and signed Visa Application Form. (Please note - the signature should be as per the signature on the passport. If the signature is not as per the passport then the case shall not be accepted.)

Passport Size Photo

One photograph taken within the last 6 months. (The photograph should be of size 2 x 2 inches, color with white background and printed on good quality paper.)

Proof of Relationship

In case the applicant is accompanied by any dependent, i.e., Passport copy, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate.

Confirmed Air Tickets

The PNR should be live. It should include all the sectors.

If the inviting company/organization is bearing the expenses

- Original Letter of Guarantee. - A certified copy of the incorporation register or an overview of company/organization. Note: A stock exchange-listed company does not need to submit a copy of the incorporation register or a Details of the company /organization if it submits its quarterly corporate report. List of Visa applicants (When there are multiple applicants) When an individual is extending an invitation, submit the `Certificate of Employment` in lieu of a copy of the incorporation register or an overview of the Company/Organization. Certificate of Employment / Employment Letter and Leave Sanctioned Letter Income Tax Return Current year ITR. If ITR not given than required salary slip 3 months

If the applicant is owner of company

a. Proof of ownership (e.g. Director Identification Number approval issued from Ministry of Corporate Affairs or proprietorship document issued from bank or Import export license) b. Company bank statement

Invitation Letter

Original from Japan inviting the pax along with the below supportive documents.

Documents certifying the personal relationship between the sponsor and the passenger (Original)

Sponsors certificate of alien registration from Japan (Compulsory) (Original)

Sponsors Documents certifying the profession and income, to be faxed or couried from Japan (Original)

- Consent from the parents / spouse

- Copy bank statement of last three months for parents / spouse

- Latest Income Tax Return for parents / spouse

- Student Identity Card copy
